Founded in 1945, Brioni was created by Nazareno Fonticoli and Gaetano Savini. Fonticoli, renowned for his tailoring skills, opened their first store in 1945. Brioni's name comes from the Italian name for the Croatian island group, the Brijuni islands and their first show was held at menswear capital, Pitti, in Florence. The highlight of their range is their accessories, which consists of silk ties, leather gloves, belts in suede, woven cotton and caviar leather, pocket squares and lightweight silk scarves.
